Halcion doesn’t cause instant sleep, but as sleeping meds go, it is stunning in its effects. There’s no real “falling” asleep—it’s pretty much lights out. Like a freaking switch.
It’s a very handy drug, but a dangerous one—addictive, hard to obtain, and once it stops working, if you don’t attain sleep after taking it, you can become psychotic.
